Construction of new hangar at Beja Airport starting soon

MESA is planning to start the construction of its state of the art maintenance hangar at Beja Airport in September 2017. The new facility is projected to have a total of 8.000 m2 capacity, allowing it to accommodate wide-body aircraft.

The new hangar will serve as a base maintenance unit for the Airbus fleet of Hi Fly, the airline within the same group of companies as MESA, as well as for third party aircraft.

The first stage of the construction encompasses 5.000 m2 and is estimated to be completed by April/May 2018. The second phase, comprising 3.000 m2 of workshops and offices, is projected to start in May 2018 and to be finished by March/April 2019.

Mesa is an aircraft line and base maintenance provider based in Portugal, Belgium and Australia, EASA Part 145 Maintenance Organization, approved under Portuguese Authorities Certificate PT.145.020. The company is oriented to perform maintenance worldwide on Airbus A310, A319, A320, A321, A330 and A340. Mesa’s main facilities are located at Lisbon International Airport, Brussels and Brisbane.
